School Readiness and Thunder Bay Superior North Region Community Reports

Brass Bell Family Resource Centre assisted in implementing the Early Development Instrument (EDI) from 2005-2015.

The EDI is a population based measure which observes children's developmental health at school entry or school readiness.

The EDI data collection is overseen by the Offord Centre for Child Studies on a provincial and national level, and was part of the "Understanding the Early Years (UEY)", initiative by Human Resources and Social Development Canada.

The Thunder Bay Superior North Region has participated in the EDI over the school year cycles; 2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2011/2012, and once again in 2014/2015.

Brass Bell Family Resource Centre would like to express sincere thanks to all participating school boards, schools, and senior kindergarten teachers.
